Think Pink Initiative

At some point in all of our lives, we will know someone or we ourselves will have a personal encounter with Breast Cancer. With all the millions of dollars that have been raised over the years, thousands of women each year are dying from it. African American women have the highest fatality rate of all women diagnosed. The Sisters Ministry of Gathering of Champions wants to be apart of the initiative to raise awareness to this cause. We will join countless of others by walking to show our compassion, raising money to show our committment, and most importantly praying to show our faith. Wont you join us in this awesome endeavor? Sunday, September 28th all services Health Ministry Presentation after service about Cancer screening, prevention and options for treatment

Saturday, October 25th "Walk for the Cure" from Atlantic Staton. Leaving church at 5:45 am

Sunday, October 26th- "Think Pink Sunday" all women are asked to wear pink as a sign of our committment to the healing of God's people from Cancer

Are you fashionably challenged? Do you need helping creating a look that fits your everyday or even special occasion needs? Then do we have something for you.

The first 10 ladies of Gathering of Champions who post the comment " I need a Makeover" to this blog will get the free help of a surprise "in house" stylist. Our in house stylist will come to your home and assist you in creating a look fit for a Champion! This help includes tips on how to effectively accessorize, or suggestions on styles that are best for your body type.If needed she will also help you with a little Spring Cleaning in an effort to revamp your wardrobe.What a deal!!!

Savannah Getaway !

Hello Sisters!!

Join us, June 26-28, 2008 in the beautiful and historical city of Savannah, Georgia! We will see the sites, have terrific fellowship, and get away for 3 days and 2 nights for Sisterly fun. We will be staying at the exquisite Mulberry Inn, located downtown in Historic Savannah. Cost for the entire trip is $200.00 however we need to secure your $50.00 deposit by March 29th. Our First Lady and Elder- Shopping Away!

Can you say, leather bags? Custom designed jewelry? Beauty Products? Floral Arrangements? Well....we sure can! What a fabulous time was had by all at our recent Sister's Ministry Gathering. We shopped, fellowshipped, and of course had loads of fun. We welcomed almost 40 women to our 1st Annual "Its All About You" pre-holiday shopping event. And what was that you said, you still want more? Just contact us via the blog and we will be happy to pass on contact information to one of our fabulous vendors. Island Extravaganza

If you thought you had to leave Atlanta to have Island fun then you are sadly mistaken! The sisters of GCIC brought Island food, fun, and, music to our very back doors in July. Over 50 sisters joined us for great fellowship and celebration. And what exciting things did we discuss? Our next event "Its All About You" is a day of pre-holiday shopping with items that cater to the taste and likes of any women. The event will be October 6th at the GCIC annex from 5-8 pm. We hope to see you there.
